42 Roma Luiss
With the aim of investing in future innovation and digital talents, Lottomatica has activated a collaboration project with 42 Roma Luiss, the innovative international coding school brought to Italy by the Luiss University. The school is the first Italian campus of the "42 Network" which includes more than ten thousand students, selected on 22 campuses around the world.
Thanks to the collaboration with 42 Roma Luiss and its unique educational approach, based on the logic of "peer-to-peer learning" and "learning-by-doing", the Group will be able to develop innovative training courses aimed at identification and growth of young IT and digital champions, increasingly precious resources for the technological transformation of our country.
IRCCS Lazzaro Spallanzani
The National Institute for Infectious Diseases "Lazzaro Spallanzani" is a Scientific Research and Treatment Institute, therefore research activity is an integral part of its DNA. The research activity that takes place within the Spallanzani is inspired by the continuity and integration between projects of an epidemiological, preclinical and clinical nature, and is a translational type of research, capable of producing results that can be used in the short term for the diagnosis or treatment of patients.
Lottomatica supports the National Institute for Infectious Diseases "Lazzaro Spallanzani" and has contributed to supporting specific research projects for the contrast and treatment of diseases linked to the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Lottomatica is a supporter of Telethon and actively participates in its awareness-raising and fundraising initiatives to help scientific research and develop cures and effective treatments against genetic diseases.
Some of the Telethon campaigns supported by the company, through donations and the involvement of its points of sale, online gaming portals and social media, include the "Walk of Life" and the annual "Il gioco fa rotta sulla ricerca" campaign, which has enabled the collection of funds to be used for scientific research since 2005, thanks to the involvement and solidarity displayed by Lottomatica and all the most important companies operating in the public gaming sector.
In order to contribute to the fight against violence and gender discrimination, Lottomatica supports the Salvamamme association, which has been at the forefront for over 20 years in support of fragile women and families, with awareness-raising activities and fundraising in favor of the "Valigia di Salvataggio” (Rescue Suitcase) project, which aims to provide first concrete help to women victims of violence or stalking.
The Group launched the initiative on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which occurs on 25 November and was established in 1999 by the General Assembly of the United Nations with the aim of soliciting governments and organizations to raise public awareness and to increase commitment in the fight against gender-based violence.
With the "Food 4 People" project, Lottomatica promotes periodic collections of food in support of Banco Alimentare, an association that for over 40 years has been involved in the recovery of basic necessities and their redistribution to charitable structures that carry out assistance activities towards people in need.
Lottomatica supports the Vidas Association, which assists terminally ill patients thanks to the work of doctors specialised in pain therapy and palliative treatment.
