Lottomatica at Med Fest 2025: Sport and Sustainability for the Mediterranean

Pubblicato il: 01 ottobre 2025

Lottomatica took part in Med Fest, held in Olbia from September 25 to 27, joining the panel “A Sea of Opportunities – Sport and Responsibility in the Mediterranean” together with Gregorio Paltrinieri, Unipol, Arena, and other key figures from the sports and institutional worlds. The festival, which brought together companies, athletes, and institutions, placed the Mediterranean at the center as a “common home” to be protected through shared vision and collective action.

Sport and Social Responsibility in the Mediterranean
Moderated by Angela Tuccia, the panel explored how sport can become a vehicle for environmental awareness, highlighting concrete examples such as Dominate the Water, a project created by Gregorio Paltrinieri. This initiative turns open-water swimming into an opportunity for environmental education and engagement with coastal communities.

The Contribution of Ida de Sena for Lottomatica
Representing the Group, Ida de Sena, Sustainability & Regulatory Evolution Senior Manager, emphasized how the connection with Dominate the Water developed naturally, thanks to Lottomatica Sport’s existing ties with the sports world:
“We recognized in Dominate the Water a value-driven project that brings together sport and the environment. Our environmental strategy – which includes climate change, circular economy, training, and research – finds in this event a platform to engage with a wider audience.”
Ida also recalled how Lottomatica has long integrated sustainability into its business model, adhering to the United Nations Global Compact and promoting initiatives that place communities, stakeholders, and new generations at the center.

Lottomatica’s Environmental Commitment Between Sport and Community
Participation in Med Fest is part of a broader path in which Lottomatica is committed to combining growth with responsibility. The experience with Dominate the Water is joined by other concrete actions: from the collaboration with AMI – Ambiente Mare Italia for beach cleaning initiatives in Fiumicino, to circular economy projects for technological devices, up to the recognition as Sustainability Ambassador 2025 for the results achieved in ESG performance.
Different initiatives united by a common thread: making sustainability an integral part of the business model, transforming it from a corporate commitment into a shared value.

Towards a Sustainable Future for the Mediterranean and Beyond
Participation in Med Fest reaffirmed Lottomatica’s commitment to contributing to a future in which sport, environment, and community support each other. Every project – from the Repair Lab for tech device regeneration, to the LESS strategy, from environmental initiatives to responsible gaming – strengthens the Group’s position as a reference player for a concrete and long-term vision of sustainability.
