Blood emergency, the commitment of Lottomatica and the partnership with Rosso

Lottomatica in the front row in favor of blood donation in our country. Thanks to the partnership signed with Rosso – a startup that has set itself the ambitious goal of eliminating the blood emergency in Italy by 2030 – the group has launched a new initiative that aims to make a significant contribution in this direction: raise awareness and promote culture of donation through a special internal communication campaign and moments of training and information that aim to actively involve all employees, also offering them the possibility of donating blood during dedicated days inside the headquarter of Lottomatica.

In Italy, only 3% of the population habitually donate. A still too low percentage that fails to meet national needs, especially since the average age of donors exceeds 45 years on average. Circumstance, the latter, which demonstrates the lack of a generational change which would instead be essential to start solving this increasingly serious and felt problem.

From next autumn, therefore, Lottomatica employees will have the opportunity to participate in days in which, thanks to the presence of blood banks, they will be able to donate directly inside the company.
Furthermore, by virtue of this agreement, the people in the group will also be able to use a booking service accessible all year round. In recent days, the program officially started with the first in-depth webinar, during which specific and contextual information and useful news on the subject were provided.

Lottomatica, aware of the importance of blood donation, by joining Rosso's "Corporate Life Savers" program, thus reinforces its social commitment in favor of the communities in which it operates and confirms its willingness to contribute positively to people's lives.
