Gaming and betting: the Police’s course stops over at Lottomatica

Against all forms of illegality in the public gaming sector through training. This is the common objective pursued by the Central Anti-Crime Directorate - Central Operational Service of the State Police and Lottomatica through the qualification course for "Gaming and Betting Police Operator", now in its seventh edition. A collaboration that yesterday led around 35 specialist police officers, who are attending the qualification course organized at the Police School of Nettuno by the Central Operational Service of the State Police, followed by a training session dedicated to the company strategy regarding the prevention of illegality. The specialist police officers were welcomed at the headquarters in Via degli Aldobrandeschi in Rome by the Group's Chief of Business Legal, Giuseppe Marra, by the CEO of GBO, Alessandro Fiumara, and by the Group's Chief Operating Officer, Fabio De Santis. The session began with the presentation of the legality safeguards and the initiatives undertaken by the company to guarantee regularity and transparency in the gaming and betting sector, led by Fabio De Santis and the Regulatory, Compliance AML & Quality Director, Oronzo Gonnella. The morning then continued with the lesson held by Alessandro Fiumara, and the Sportsbook Director, Paolo Manzo, who addressed the topic of Match Fixing and illustrated the measures implemented to tackle this phenomenon. The training seminar concluded with the speech of Giuseppe Marra, on the regulation of public gaming with a specific focus on betting and online gaming. Initiative which represented a further opportunity to strengthen collaboration between institutions and operators in the sector in the fight against illegal gaming, in line with one of Lottomatica's fundamental objectives: promoting legality, understood as protection of citizens, safeguard of the territory and culture of responsibility.
