GBO Italy, company of the Lottomatica Group, is the first Italian company to obtain the Responsible Gaming certification in the Betting sector (online and retail) issued by the World Lottery Association (WLA). The World Lottery Association is a global organization that represents the leading lottery operators and promotes the highest standards of social responsibility among its certified members. Lottomatica, always at the forefront of research & development in the field of Responsible Gaming, has implemented sophisticated standards in line with the principles of responsible gaming and, through its subsidiary GBO Italy, has applied for certification for the betting network and online platforms.
A recognition of the company's concrete commitment to ensuring a safe, legal, and responsible gaming experience for its customers. The certification process involved an in-depth review of program management and the completion of questionnaires related to the 11 areas examined by the Certifier, including Research, Employee and retailer programme, Stakeholder engagement, and Reporting and Measurement. The achievement of the WLA certification adds to that of the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4) for online platforms and underscores the Group's commitment to implementing safety and promoting legal, safe, and responsible gaming.
