On October 21, 2026, Lottomatica brought together the Group's top management and CEPID doctors for an educational Lunch Talk to take a closer look at Responsible Gaming topics. CEPID is the Integrated Psychiatric Center for Research, Care, and Prevention of Addictions, born from the collaboration between the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital IRCCS and the Lottomatica Foundation.
The meeting opened with remarks from Guglielmo Angelozzi, CEO of Lottomatica, who recalled the central role of senior leadership in turning responsible gaming into concrete actions to protect players. Following this, Giovanna Di Verniere, Chief of Office of the CEO and Sustainability, along with Ida De Sena, Corporate Sustainability and Responsible Gaming Senior Manager, outlined the Group's strategy and CEPID's contribution to prevention and training.
During the session, Professor Gabriele Sani, Director of the Clinical and Emergency Psychiatry Unit at Gemelli Hospital, and Professor Marco Di Nicola, Coordinator of CEPID, explained the center's current focus and addressed the issue of addictions. They highlighted the importance of comorbidity, recognizing a player's difficulties, maintaining a relationship with the individual, and the essential role of training for retailers and contact centers. In particular, participants analyzed several case scenarios with the goal of identifying key messaging, tools, and organizational conditions to help operators respond with increasing timeliness. The discussion with the medical experts also covered the most appropriate language to help guide player behavior.
The Lunch Talk is part of an ongoing initiative by the Group under its responsible gaming program, which spans four key areas (training, information, prevention, and research) and is overseen by the Responsible Gaming Committee. First-level responsible gaming training, developed in partnership with CEPID, has been available to all Group employees since 2023 and became mandatory in 2025. Across the retail network—where it became part of operators' contractual commitments in 2024—it reached over 80% of the betting network, approximately 90% of indirectly managed VLT halls, and 100% of directly managed halls, according to 2025 data.
In addition to these achievements, Lottomatica obtained G4 Certification last September across its entire operational scope, making it the first group in Italy to reach this milestone across online gaming, gaming machines, betting, and supplier operations.
