Lottomatica inaugurates Panchina Rossa, reaffirms anti-violence partnership with Salvamamme

Pubblicato il: 25 novembre 2025

On the occasion of November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Lottomatica Group reaffirms its stance on the need to promote respect, protection, and awareness through initiatives involving people, communities, and the territory.

The central moment of the day is the inauguration of the Panchina Rossa (Red bench) at the Rome Headquarters: a symbolic gesture with strong cultural and civic value, which calls attention to the collective responsibility in combating gender-based violence. The initiative is in collaboration with the national Panchine Rosse (Red Benches) project by Stati Generali delle Donne HUB (Women's General States HUB), which has been committed since 2016 to spreading a recognizable symbol across Italy.

A solid collaboration: Lottomatica and Salvamamme together since 2021

Alongside this symbolic moment, November 25th also represents an opportunity for Lottomatica to highlight a journey started in 2021 with Salvamamme, an association that has been offering immediate support to mothers, women, and families in difficulty for over thirty years.
The collaboration stems from a shared need: to transform social responsibility into real, close, and concrete aid for those facing situations of domestic violence or conditions of extreme vulnerability. Over the years, the Group has supported Salvamamme in projects that guarantee protection, security, and psychological support to women who choose to start over.
In this context, the International Day on November 25th becomes a central event to reaffirm the importance of prevention, listening, and respect, renewing support for victims. This commitment is fully integrated into the Group's ESG strategy and its focus on the communities in which it operates.

2025 Initiatives: awareness, training, and solidarity

Leading up to the anniversary, Lottomatica has promoted a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness and active participation from employees.
Specifically, on November 20th, a company talk was held with several representatives from Salvamamme—including the director Katia Pacelli, the criminologist Gabriella Salvatore, the superintendent of Fiamme Oro Rugby Massimiliano Bizzozero, and the lawyer Fabio Arigoni — who shared real testimonies and useful tools for recognizing and combating gender-based violence. An intense discussion touched on topics such as the courage to ask for help, the value of family and social networks, and the importance of an effective protection system.
In the first days of December, employees will also participate in an active volunteering day at the association's headquarters, dedicated to assembling the "Valigie di Salvataggio" (Rescue Suitcases), one of Salvamamme's most relevant projects.

The "Rescue Suitcase" project: immediate aid to restart

The "Valigia di Salvataggio" project is the beating heart of the collaboration with Salvamamme, an emergency plan dedicated to women who, often with their children, are forced to leave their homes to save themselves.
The suitcases contain essential goods for the first few hours after the escape (clothes, hygiene products, materials for children) and include a personalized safety system designed to protect victims during the most delicate phases.
Since 2021, Lottomatica's support for the project has taken concrete form through two other initiatives:
  • a corporate fundraising campaign for the association;
  • corporate volunteering days, during which employees actively participate in preparing the kits, welcoming families, and organizing donations.
These are experiences that combine competence and humanity and have allowed a significant number of suitcases to be made available over the years to women and minors in dangerous situations.

A path of shared responsibility

The collaboration between Lottomatica and Salvamamme is a concrete example of how businesses and third-sector organizations can combine expertise, resources, and sensitivity to generate a real social impact.
In this sense, the inauguration of the Red Bench confirms a commitment that continues over time and is deeply rooted in the Group's values: support for people, responsibility, inclusion, and the fight against all forms of violence.
