Lottomatica confirms its leadership in the gaming sector by participating once again in IGE 2026 – Italian Gaming Expo & Conference, the benchmark event for the Italian gaming industry. The two-day event, held in Rome on April 14 and 15, has just concluded, having brought together operators, institutions, and stakeholders for a comprehensive program of meetings dedicated to the trends redefining the future of the industry.
Throughout the event, the Group's managers took the stage as speakers, sharing experiences, best practices, and insights on technological innovation, sustainability, multi-channel strategies, and skills development.
The 2026 edition of IGE focused on the industry's transformation journey, highlighting the role of public-private dialogue in defining a more robust and transparent ecosystem. Among the key topics, the regulatory reorganization of gaming played a central role: establishing a clear, stable, and consistent regulatory framework is currently a priority to support the legal market and effectively counter illegal activities.
Parallel to this, the ongoing technological evolution emerged as a powerful force. The use of data, Artificial Intelligence, and digital tools is redefining operating models and customer interaction, making the gaming experience increasingly personalized, conscious, and secure. Furthermore, there is a growing focus on sustainability, viewed not just as a responsibility but as a structural component of the industry's development, in line with the Group's commitment to Responsible Gaming and ESG goals.
Another key theme at IGE 2026 concerned the evolution of gaming consumption models. Online and retail are no longer separate spheres but components of a single, integrated experience. In this scenario, data and advanced technologies become central tools for understanding user needs and developing increasingly targeted solutions. At the same time, there is a heightened focus on responsible interaction models, where user knowledge translates into greater protection and awareness.
Lottomatica actively contributed to the debate, bringing its expertise to some of the most relevant issues for the future of the sector. Several of the Group's managers spoke during the event:
Ida De Sena, Responsible Gaming, Env. & Regul. Evolution Senior Manager, in panels dedicated to the relationship between Responsible Gaming and ESG, and the role of sustainability communication in the sector;
Benedetta Bricchetti, People Management & Development Director, on the role of human capital as a competitive lever;
Claudia Finizio, Customer Management Director, on marketing automation models and brand identity;
Alessandro Liti, Digital Marketing & Brand Management Director, on the evolution of the Italian market between regulation and acquisition strategies;
Simone Occhiuzzi, Digital & I-Gaming Director, on the future of the point of sale across innovation, digitalization, and responsibility.
These contributions offered a comprehensive vision of the industry's main development drivers: from customer experience to digital innovation, and from automation to human capital development and ESG themes.
Participating in IGE 2026 is part of Lottomatica's ongoing journey to actively contribute to the evolution of the gaming sector in Italy. In a constantly changing environment, the Group continues to invest in technology, the quality and safety of the customer experience, and sustainable models, with an approach that integrates innovation and responsibility. The goal is to support market development by generating long-term value for all stakeholders and contributing to the construction of a gaming ecosystem that is increasingly secure, transparent, and future-oriented.
