Lottomatica Obtains ISO 37301 Certification for Integrated Compliance for the First Time

Pubblicato il: 07 settembre 2026

The Group ranks first in the Italian gaming sector and among the few FTSE MIB companies to achieve this result.

Rome, September 7. Lottomatica Group is further strengthening its governance system by reaching two major compliance milestones: obtaining, for the first time, the UNI ISO 37301:2021 certification for Compliance Management Systems and completing the transition to UNI ISO 37001:2025 for its Anti-Bribery Management System, which has been certified since 2022.

Both Management Systems were certified by RINA; additionally, the UNI ISO 37301:2021 certification was granted under ACCREDIA accreditation, providing further assurance that the Compliance Management System aligns with international reference standards. The scope covers the parent company as well as the main concessionaires and operating companies in the retail, online, and gaming segments.

What the UNI ISO 37301:2021 Certification Entails Certification under the UNI ISO 37301:2021 standard attests to an organization’s ability to manage legal (mandatory and voluntary), regulatory, contractual, and industry obligations in a structured and systematic manner, integrating them into a single compliance management system. The certification is the outcome of a process that integrated various compliance areas and corporate controls into a unified framework, aimed at ensuring methodological uniformity, a cross-functional view of regulatory exposure, and the strengthening of governance, control, and decision-support processes.

The project is part of a broader evolution and integration of the Group's compliance controls. The initiative, launched in September 2025, was strongly driven by Francesco Lauria, Chief Risk, Ethics & Compliance Officer and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Officer, who stated: "I am particularly proud of this important milestone, which demonstrates Lottomatica's ongoing commitment to pursuing excellence and strengthening the effectiveness of its governance, risk management, and compliance systems. This result also represents a further step forward in the Group's path toward growth, consolidation, and continuous improvement."

The Group’s Compliance Management System complements the tools already adopted for risk prevention and management, including the Italian Legislative Decree 231 Model, the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Model, the Code of Ethics, and the Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy (ISO 37001:2025).

Achieving the UNI ISO 37301:2021 certification places Lottomatica Group among the few FTSE MIB index companies to hold this recognition. This milestone holds even greater significance given that Lottomatica is the first gaming operator in Italy to obtain this certification, concurrently with completing the transition to UNI ISO 37001:2025.

The Verification Process Conducted by RINA The audit performed by RINA covered all compliance areas and business processes included in the Compliance Management System. The assessments aimed to verify not only the proper application of the internal regulatory framework, but also the level of compliance with the obligations set by the reference standards, the effectiveness of the control system, and the degree to which compliance safeguards are integrated into the Group’s governance processes and daily operations.

The UNI ISO 37301:2021 and UNI ISO 37001:2025 certifications reinforce Lottomatica's ongoing commitment to governance, sustainability, and responsible business management.
