Lottomatica Group was awarded on Tuesday, October 21st, at the Senate of the Republic for its social responsibility commitment within "Corporate LifeSavers," the corporate program promoted by Rosso. Rosso is a startup founded by two young people under 30 that is driving the digital transition of the blood system and is committed to the ambitious goal of ending the blood emergency in Italy by 2030.
The initiative, “Generazione Dono – Il dono nell’era digitale: etica, inclusione e sostenibilità della spesa pubblica” (Generation of Giving – Giving in the Digital Age: Ethics, Inclusion, and Sustainability of Public Spending), supported by Senator Antonio Guidi, was created to promote donation in an era where technology, healthcare, and social impact are key pillars. It also aims to recognize companies that have chosen to adopt the culture of donation as an integral part of their sustainability and responsibility policies.
Corporate LifeSavers Program: The Partnership between Lottomatica and Rosso
Today in Italy, only 2.3% of the population donates blood regularly: a percentage still insufficient to cover the national requirement and guarantee the safety of healthcare facilities. Lottomatica has been a partner of Rosso since 2023, adhering to the Corporate LifeSavers program to spread a culture of solidarity and participation, also raising awareness among new generations about the value of a simple yet crucial act, through a process of awareness, training, and concrete actions to promote blood donation.
During the collaboration, the Group launched internal communication campaigns, training sessions, and blood donation days within the company, offering employees the opportunity to personally contribute to a cause of great social value and significant relevance for public health. The blood donation days at the Rome headquarters represented a symbolic and concrete milestone of this commitment, which is now being recognized in the Senate as an example of corporate social responsibility.
«Being here as a Corporate LifeSavers is a source of great pride for us. It represents a tangible recognition of the commitment with which, as an organization and as individuals, we enthusiastically chose to contribute to promoting an act of extraordinary human and social value. It is the proof that, together, we can generate a concrete positive impact for the community» said Giuseppina Falcucci, Chief People Officer, Lottomatica Group.
Shared Responsibility: Lottomatica’s Social Value
This recognition is part of a broader journey that sees Lottomatica committed to promoting sustainability, health, and social cohesion initiatives.
Among the Group's most recent initiatives are the partnership between Fondazione Lottomatica and the Isola Tiberina – Gemelli Isola Hospital in support of “Sweet Arms – Il Freddo e il Caldo insieme per aiutare i piccoli e i loro genitori in TIN” (Sweet Arms – Cold and Warmth Together to Help Children and Their Parents in the NICU), a three-year project that combines technological innovation and the centrality of the family in the care of the most fragile newborns, the collaboration with Peter Pan ODV in support of patients at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, and the support for the Fondazione Luigi Maria Monti (IDI) to establish a new Child Neuropsychiatry Center at the “Villa Santa Margherita” Rehabilitation Center in Montefiascone (VT).
All these experiences reflect the Group's desire to create shared value and to contribute, with responsibility and continuity, to the well-being of the people and communities in which it operates.
