Lottomatica has obtained the certification of its Environmental Management System pursuant to the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
The certification, issued by the accredited body ACCREDIA, attests Lottomatica's commitment to activating continuous business improvement processes in a logic of respect for the environment and represents a strategic asset for the company's future management decisions. In fact, the certification represents the final step of a series of activities which, developed over time, aimed at defining a system for monitoring the environmental resources used in the management of the Group's main offices.
Published for the first time in 1996, ISO 14001 is now the international reference standard for designing and implementing an effective Environmental Management System.
The development of an Environmental Management System, certified according to the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, allows the systemic management of the environmental aspects relating to company processes and the monitoring of process indicators relating to environmental sustainability.
In addition to ensuring compliance with the legislative requirements on the subject, the Environmental Management System aims to continuously improve company performance that has an impact on the environment, ensuring a more efficient, rational and conscious use of resources, so as to reduce waste and emissions.
