Lottomatica confirms its leadership in the gaming sector by participating in the second edition of IGE – Italian Gaming Expo & Conference, the leading event for the gaming industry in Italy. The two-day event concluded with discussions, innovation, and strategic vision, featuring a robust schedule of panels focused on the key topics reshaping the future of the sector.

Lottomatica Group managers took part as speakers, sharing experiences, best practices, and insights on sustainability, omnichannel strategy, marketing, technological innovation, social responsibility, and talent development.

Responsible Gaming and ESG: A synergy for a sustainable future
In the panel “Responsible Game (RG) vs ESG: Complimentary or Conflict of Interest”, Ida De Sena, Regulatory Evolution & Responsible Gaming Manager, explained how the Responsible Gaming strategy is an integral part of Lottomatica’s business model. The three key priorities are: protection of minors, prevention of problem gambling, and promotion of a healthy and conscious approach to gaming. This strong commitment is supported by over 50 annual projects across four core areas: education, information, prevention, and research.

People at the center: attracting and nurturing talent
In the panel “Winning the Talent Game”, Benedetta Bricchetti, HR Senior Manager, presented the Group’s strategies for talent attraction and retention, built on a positive, inclusive work environment that fosters professional growth. Employee development is supported through training programs, work-life balance initiatives, engagement strategies, and performance recognition.

Revitalizing Horse Racing: innovation and digitalization
In the panel dedicated to the horse racing sector, Samuele Feci, Head of Retail Product Revenue & Distribution, emphasized the importance of innovation in revitalizing the offering. Visibility, service efficiency, and the digitalization of the totalizer are the pillars of the adopted strategy, which has already begun with the integration of horse racing in over 300 retail locations starting January 2024.

Omnichannel strategy: the key to an enhanced user experience
Simone Occhiuzzi, Digital Director, spoke during the panel “The New Post-Regulation Market Structure”, presenting Lottomatica’s omnichannel vision: a seamless integration between online and retail, with mobile at the center and a renewed role for physical retail locations. “Technology and digitalization are fundamental levers to extend the model to smaller operators as well,” Occhiuzzi noted.

Marketing and Customer Centricity: towards a new paradigm
In the panel “Effective Marketing in the Italian Online Gaming Market”, Alessandro Liti, Digital Marketing & Brand Management Director, illustrated the evolution of digital marketing in the gaming sector: from traditional KPI analysis to a user-centric approach. Technological advancements – he explained – enable increasingly advanced personalization and foster agile, collaborative organizational models within the company.
