Environmental sustainability represents a strategic priority for Lottomatica to successfully face current and future challenges. For this reason, the Group is committed to adopting rules of conduct and behavior capable of combining the corporate objectives of sustainable growth with respect for the environment.
The attention to mitigating its impacts and encouraging virtuous behavior along the entire value chain, in terms of limiting emissions, energy consumption and the use of natural resources, are fundamental aspects of the path undertaken.
The Lottomatica Group has decided to give disclosure of its data and environmental management model in accordance with the Carbon Disclosure Project questionnaire as of 2024, adhering to the international system of high quality, comparable and globally accessible data disclosure. Lottomatica Group has obtained a B rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), positioning itself among the over 24,800 organizations committed to building a sustainable future and standing out as one of the few leading companies globally in the gaming sector for transparency and commitment to environmental sustainability.

To confirm this commitment, Lottomatica has defined a complex environmental sustainability strategy called LESS (Lottomatica Environmental Sustainability Strategy). This strategy is divided into four lines of intervention, along which programs and objectives are concentrated, aimed at significantly reducing the Group's carbon footprint and laying the foundation for achieving net-zero.

One of the main tools for the implementation of the Group's environmental strategy is the decarbonization plan, through which Lottomatica has set itself the objective of significantly reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions over 10 years (Scope 1), aiming to nearly eliminate those related to energy purchases for offices and points of sale (Scope 2) by 2025.
In addition, there is an important commitment to reduce the most impactful Scope 3 categories, calculated on the basis of the Green House Gas Protocol.
The Group's approach to environmental protection is formalized within the Environmental Sustainability Policy, adopted as early as 2022, which establishes the general principles and commitment guidelines that the company intends to respect to achieve its environmental sustainability objectives.
This is accompanied by the Green Procurement Policy, which regulates the supplier selection process, favoring those who produce goods and/or provide services with a lower effect on the environment.
As early as 2022, the Group has also adopted an Environmental Management System certified in accordance with the ISO 14001:2015 regulation. The development of an Environmental Management System allows the environmental aspects relating to company processes to be systematically managed and the process indicators relating to environmental sustainability to be monitored.
